Meet Dr. Julia Cantzler, Co-Director of the Environmental Integration Lab and Professor of Sociology. Her scholarship addresses environmental justice and advocacy, focusing on youth climate activism, food studies, the rights of Indigenous peoples, and the experiences of environmental risk at the U.S.-Mexico border. She teaches classes on Sustainability and Environmental Justice, where she uses applied and interdisciplinary strategies to empower students to address pressing environmental challenges on campus, in our community, and on the global stage. She is the author of the book Environmental Justice as Decolonization: Political Contention, Innovation and Resistance over Indigenous Fishing Rights in Australia, New Zealand, and the United States.

Cory received his Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Oregon. He is currently pursuing both a Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Finance at USD. He spends his down time with family and friends, watching Oregon Ducks football, and enjoying racket sports.

Cory is an adaptable and enthusiastic individual with interests in venture capital and private equity financing. Aromas Coffeehouse in partnership with the USD Changemaker Hub has implemented a second rendition of the Oat Milk by default pilot. From now until the end of the semester Aromas is offering oat milk as the default milk in drinks at no extra cost! This default sets the standard of offering more environmentally friendly and inclusive options while still allowing customers the freedom to choose other milks at pre-pilot prices. Aromas is also offering a number of other milk options so please stop by, give us feedback, and enjoy!
