Design Lab | EIL x Changemaker Hub
The Design Lab was a collaboration between the EIL, Changemaker Hub, and Student Affairs that brought 21 students together to co-create campus transformation. Topics addressed by the 6 teams included transportation, consumption, and building community. The fellowship was a 7-week commitment from March to May with weekly meetings of about 90 minutes each. Fellows earned two CPR points and received a $1,000 stipend*. In a culminating event, each team presented their findings and proposed solutions to campus stakeholders and several faculty members.
*Must have attended at least 6 of the 7 weekly meetings to receive the CPR points and stipend.
The Design Lab provided the space, tools, and methodologies to co-create campus transformation by bringing together campus stakeholders to use a Human-Centered Design approach to ideate and identify solutions to social justice challenges in our community.
